Liposuctions

Does liposuction leave scars?
Liposuction involves very small (3 mm) incisions, made in the folds of the skin and/or areas that are usually covered by underwear. There will always be scars, in other words, but they are very discreet.
Will liposuction remove cellulite?
Liposuction can have a reducing effect on cellulite, but will not eliminate it. In some patients, cellulite occurs as a complication following liposuction. Don't hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.
What are the risks of liposuction? Can complications occur?
In some (predisposed) patients, abnormal fat deposits or cellulitis occur after liposuction. Visible scars after the procedure cannot be excluded. However, if the procedure is performed as intended, there are no significant complications associated with liposuction / liposculpture.
How long does the procedure for liposuction take?
The duration of a liposuction (liposculpture) procedure depends on the number of areas to be treated. Most areas each take half an hour to treat.
Can fat return after liposuction?
No. Fat cells that remain after liposuction become trapped in scar tissue, permanently preventing them from growing.
What’s the difference between liposuction and liposculpture ?
There is no significant difference between liposuction and liposculpture. Liposuction is an older term, used initially when liposuction procedures were performed by means of cannulas with larger flow diameters. Liposculpting is a technique that uses much finer cannulas.
